My homemade tau fu fah

On this hot season days, the most favourite dessert eaten by many people is Tau Fu Fah. It's actually a Chinese dessert that mostly sell by Chinese hawkers. In Malaysia, we could also found some Malay people selling the tau fu fah with as same texture of softness and ginger sugar syrup with two variations...brown and white sugar.

I like tau fu fah...with ginger sugar syrup. Most of hawkers they were used 'gypsum'  to set the tau fu fah. According to science research..we shouldn't had a lot gypsum in our food because it's bad for health which gives side effect of headache or backache. Therefore, some would like to do homemade tau fu fah with adding GDL which substitute of Gypsum.

Recently I came across with this recipe during my research for tau fu fah. On my first and second attempts I found myself failure on it. It's clumsy...then, on my third attempt I tried with actual measurement and also gushing motion to the GDL and cornstarch mixture with 2 feed of height, it's turned well ! I loved the texture of my tau fu fah...with my own ginger sugar syrup ..awesome!

Here my recipe...try it !
