Khao mok gai chicken Briyani rice

As an Indian, I’ve did many types of Briyani in Indian versions. Few Briyani types are more tricky to get the perfect tasty rice at all time. More over, those are various upon their cooking methods and ingredients too. Since, I like to explore on foods, today I’ve cooked chicken Briyani rice in Thai version, which known as Khao Mok Gai. It is very popular rice dish which you can find at all the time in Bangkok,Thailand.  It is very tasty and aromatic dish ever that I’ve made before this. Those roasted and ground spices made this dish so aromatic and flavoured. The tendency of the chicken pieces were so perfectly done with special ingredients that I used in.Just few ingredients I’ve grinned instead of pounding, but it doesn’t change the taste at all.  Literally this was my first time of cooking for this dish. Pongal Festival Lunch Menu 2015


Pongal is the harvest festival which is very popular in Tamil Nadu..Although,it is not declared as a public holiday in Malaysia,but we as a Tamilian resist to our religion festival. Today,on pongal,my kids and hubby were went to school and office respectively. I have done my cooking meal chores before they back home.

 My today lunch cooking chores were started from 9am til 11am. Most of my homemade sweets has started one day ahead to pongal. So, today I've had full time chores on lunch and pongal ONLY.. I have prepared my pongal ..soon after my kids and hubby were returned home...:) only then my pongal mood awaken..

My kids were so excited helping my hubby to tie sugar canes,arranging flowers,washing fruits and so on. We loud ' Pongalo Pongal' as soon the milk boils over. After rice cooked well, we have offered the sakarai pongal,Karachi halwa,sweet boondi,methu Vadai and Rose javvarisi payasam to God with special prayer. Chatting while eating my homemade sweets and snacks,watching some interesting pongal special programme on TV. I just sneak peek on tv while preparing food on dinner table.So,here..

I sighed in happiness. 
My kids were so happy and enjoy the all day long. The festival day went off peaceful even there are much more to share ..yes,my links to attach for those recipes that I mentioned above.
